SUBSTATION TECHNICIAN:

JOB DESCRIPTION-

GIS INSTALLATION,POWER TRANSFORMER INSTALLATION,SWITCH GEAR INSTALLATION,INSTALLATION OF CONTROL AND PROTECTION PANELS,SUBSTATION EARHING, AC/DC PANEL INSTALLATION FOR HIGH VOLTAGE OUTDOOR AND INDOOR TYPE SUBSTATION ( AIS & GIS ).

-MUSTA HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF OPERATION OF "GIS" THROUGH LCC AND INTERLOCKS.

DIAGNOSED MALFUNCTIONING SYSTEMS,APPARATUS,AND COMPONENTS,USING TEST EQUIPMENT AND HAND TOOLS, TO LOCATE THE CAUSE OF A BREAKDOWN AND CORRECT THE PROBLEM.

MUST BE CAPABLE OF READING ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS, INTERCONNECTION DRAWING AND HV/MV/LV/ CONTROL CABLE SCHEDULE.

INSPECT ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS,EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS TO IDENTIFY HAZARDS,DEFECTS AND THE NEED FOR ADJUSTMENT OR REPAIR AND TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARDS.

FULLY CONVERSANT WITH PANEL CABLE GLANDING AND CONTROL CABLING TERMINATION/DRESSING AC/DC CABLE INSTALLATION & TERMINATION.
